Wissota 100 // 5 Days of Fun
Milaca, MN (September 21st, 2022) - This past weekend the team went to the premier Midwest dirt track event, the Wissota 100, held at the I94 Speedway in Fergus Falls, MN. We saw over 6,000 fans pack the stands every day for 5 nights of incredible racing. Our driver Kaden Woodie has had his eyes on this event since he started racing and set 3 main goals for himself for his first run at it.

Not only was Kaden able to achieve each of these goals but he put on an incredible show doing so. On his first night out he hit the track with a fury, working his way from 8th to 3rd in his heat. However, the most impressive showing was in the final, starting in 3rd he was on a mission to take the win. With only 7 laps to go, he flatted a rear tire but even after that continued to drive like a madman! Fighting off the competition and holding 5th, qualifying him straight into the Saturday night final. After a few days of spectating races, he went right back into race mode for Saturday night’s main final, starting 13th Kaden was able to push his way into 5th, but hard-driving meant a hot car, in an effort to keep the car together and engine in one piece he had to turn the jets off and drive a little more conservatively for the last few laps. When all was said and done he was able to hold on to 10th against the best drivers in our region!
Taven Woodie also raced but in the Midwest Modified class, unfortunately, Wednesday and Thursday she was plagued with setbacks, from a bent suspension component to a multi-car tangle-up. Her luck turned for Friday’s heat driving hard and finishing up in 8th
“the weekend of the 100 was a lot more interesting then I wanted it to be in a way.. between Wednesday and Thursday I only made a total of 1/2 of a lap due to a bent slider in my rear suspension and some bad luck. Friday my luck turned! We did some changes in my setup and with the help of a tacky track I ran super good and my car handled beautifully!”
All in all, we had an incredible weekend at the track! Not only did our drivers perform well but we got to enjoy a few days with our friends, family, and fans! For us, there is nothing better than that.
