Woodies Racing Season Finale // RDS 15&16 // 2022 Season
Milaca, MN (March 28nd, 2022) - 82 days, 6,884 miles driven, 12 podiums taken, 6 stitches, and nonstop smiles, the 2022 snocross national season is a wrap! For the season finale we raced at Cannonsburg Ski Resort outside of Grand Rapids, Michigan. 2 years ago we were here, Kaden on the line getting ready to go green when the event had to be shut down due to Covid-19 restrictions. This season we had another shot at it, and despite 70-degree weather the week leading up to the race we were greeted with an amazing track, plenty of spectators, and some of the wildest racing we have seen this year!
Taven Woodie #873 - Pro Women
Taven is a fighter, all-season she has fought injury, illness, mechanicals, and more in order to take 3rd overall in the series championship with a total of 12 podiums!! She was able to kick off racing Friday going 2nd in Round 1 and 2nd again in Round 2, when it came to the final she rode fast and smooth into 2nd! Going into the final race of the season on Saturday taking back-to-back qualifying wins in Rounds 1 and 2. The night show brought what was possibly the fastest racing we have seen all season, every single rider pushing as hard as they could, no more races for the rest of the season meant no holding back. Taven was able to claim 2nd in the final and 3rd in the race for the 2022 championship! After such a wild season she will be taking a couple of weeks off to rest and then jump right back in with Dirt Track season and training for the 2023 Snocross Season.
Dylan Roes #112 - Pro Lite & Trent Wittwer #115 - Pro
Both Dylan and Trent had difficult seasons, both battling back-to-back illnesses and injuries. Both riders practiced Friday and Dylan was even able to get 3rd in round 1, however, they ultimately decided not to compete further for fear of risking further injury. We enjoyed having them on board the team this season and wish them both quick recoveries so they can get after it on the motocross track this summer!
