New Track Excitement - Snocross Rounds 9 & 10

Milaca, MN (March 6th, 2023) - New venue, perfect weather, and exciting racing at Huset’s Speedway in Sioux Falls, SD. So far this season we have been racing venues that have a long history with the Amsoil championship snocross series but this past weekend we had the special treat of being invited to a new venue. Huset’s Speedway in Bradon, SD is known across the midwest as the premier 3/8 dirt track and now as one of the premier Snocross Venues. The natural snow track made for exciting racing and the giant grandstands packed with rowdy fans really made the track come to life. With Nemo out for the season, Taven and Oskar pushed extra hard for him.

Taven Woodie #873 - Pro Women

Taven had a great weekend scooping up more championship points and closing the gap between her and the current points leader Malene Cottew, while moving further away from Inanna Huager who is currently sitting 3rd in points. On Friday Taven took 3rd in round 1 but quickly followed it up with a win in round 2. She then went on to run 2nd in the final putting pressure on Malene throughout the race. Saturday was a great day for Taven taking back-to-back wins in rounds 1 and 2 collecting more of those coveted championship points. She went on to have a fantastic start and run a great final race taking another 2nd place home. Our tuner Ryan Duncan really came through on Saturday with a new setup that should help Taven get off the line faster. They will be hard at work over the next few days and in ERX everyone better watch out because Taven is ready to get on that top step at her home track.

Oskar Englund #339 - Pro Lite

Oskar had a hard weekend, multiple crashes made for a difficult weekend for him but he never gave up and pushed his hardest at every opportunity on the track. He opened up Friday’s racing putting down back-to-back 4th place finishes in his rounds, just barely missing being put into the final he went into the LCQ where he was caught up with another rider which threw him over the bars, while he was able to recover quickly he had another crash shortly after due to a mechanical malfunction from the previous incident. Saturday he was involved in another crash in round 1 followed by 6th in round 2. In the LCQ he tried hard to get it done but was just barely edged out after being part of another incident he finished in 6th. Oskar said this weekend at ERX he will be putting it all on the line, it’s a track and venue he is familiar so this weekend will be the race for him!
