Hometrack & Happy - Snocross Rounds 11 & 12

Milaca, MN (March 13th, 2023) - There’s no place like home. This past weekend we got to race at our home track at ERX Motorpark in Elk River, MN for rounds 11 and 12 of the Amsoil Championship Snocross Series. To spice things up the track ran clockwise, usually snocross tracks are run counterclockwise, while this might not sound like much this means that the majority of the turns become right-hand corners which can really mix things up! Taven continued to up her game on the starts and really put the current points leader Malene Cottew in the hot seat for both of the Pro Women's finals making for some exciting racing!

Taven Woodie #873 - Pro Women

With only a few rounds left in the 2023 Snocross season Taven is fighting with an injured hand, last week in Sioux Falls she landed hard and torqued her hand making it difficult to ride or even hold on to the bars but she is pushing on in full force. Friday she kick-started the weekend by winning the first round of racing followed by 2nd in round 2. Going into the final she raced hard and took home 3rd! Saturday the sky opened up and it snowed all day, the big flakes may be beautiful but it makes for increasingly difficult racing between limited visibility and the flat grey light. In round 1 she was able to take another win, then took 2nd in round 2. Snow flying and the lights on we had a thrilling final with Taven taking 2nd! Taven is ready for a week and a half to heal up and get some more time on the practice track before we head to Cannonsburg, MI, and Dubuque, IA for the final two events of the season!

Oskar Englund #339 - Pro Lite

The Pro Lite has always been one of the most difficult classes to race, some riders transitioning from Sport who are still learning and others trying to prove their metal to move up to Pro. This weekend was particularly difficult with 28 Pro Lite riders including fresh faces from overseas and riders returning from injury. On Friday Oskar finished 10th in round 1 after being involved in a large crash and 7th in round two. Saturday he took back-to-back 8th place finishes in rounds 1 and 2. After a long discussion with the team Oskar has said for the next two races this is it, it’s his opportunity to show what he can do and how hard he can push. We know how fast he is capable of being, he just needs a little bit of luck to avoid any more entanglements with other riders.
